This architecture reduces cycle time and avoids overheating the melt. The shooting pot uses a high-response servo valve, delivering shot volumes accurate to ±0.2 percent cavity-to-cavity. Independent, multi-zone temperature control on the barrel and hot-runner manifold holds deviation within ±0.5 °C, protecting intrinsic viscosity and ensuring a tight acetaldehyde profile. An integrated, processor-controlled dehumidifying dryer forms part of the material handling circuit, shutting off automatically if the dew point deviates from specification, which prevents wet resin from ever reaching the feed throat.

The clamping unit is engineered for high-cavitation molds and fast cycles. A five-point double-toggle mechanism generates a stable, uniform clamp force with low stretch, extending mold and platen life. Linear guides support the moving platen across its full stroke, and an automatic centralized mold-clamping system lets a single technician mount or release a preform tool from a side-mounted pendant within twenty minutes. Safety-rated light curtains and fully enclosed guarding allow the machine to operate at full speed in an openly supervised production cell.

Energy consumption is a central focus. This preform injection machine employs a variable-volume servo-pump hydraulic system that supplies oil strictly on demand. Compared to fixed-displacement hydraulic units, the servo drive cuts energy usage by up to 40 percent, while also reducing oil heating and reservoir size. The built-in energy dashboard logs consumption per cycle, per shift, and per thousand preforms, giving plant managers hard data for sustainability reporting and cost allocation. Additionally, all water manifolds, filters, and valve blocks are arranged at ground level behind quick-release side panels fitted with gas struts, enabling rapid visual inspection and routine service without special tools. The HMI is a 15-inch industrial touchscreen with a dedicated PET setup wizard; after the operator enters preform weight, neck finish, and cavity count, the system auto-populates recommended injection and hold profiles, dramatically shortening the time from mold installation to qualified first shots.
