Oil Bottle Preform Mold

The Oil bottle preform mold often features a cavity design that includes an integrally molded handle boss or a deep thread for a screw-side handle. These complex features require carefully sequenced slide actions. Our mold uses hydraulically actuated slides with positive locking heels that guarantee precise alignment and flash-free molding.

Oil bottle preforms are long and heavy, exerting significant pull force on the core during stripping. The Oil bottle preform mold employs a back-plate clamping system that anchors each core pin both front and back, preventing any tilt or micro-movement that could cause wall thickness variation in the final bottle.

Over time, certain lubricants can migrate into a mold's microlayer. The Oil bottle preform mold uses specially sealed vent inserts that allow gas escape but prevent oil contamination from the ambient environment or recycled material from affecting the cavity surface. This ensures consistent part release and clear preform surfaces.

A larger shot requires more cooling. In an Oil bottle preform mold, we utilize high-turbulence cooling circuits with expanded water line diameters and dedicated multi-pump TCUs. The mass flow rate of coolant is doubled, reducing the cooling time significantly.
